We won’t always understand

Daniel 12: 7-13 provides several biblical principles we can apply to our lives when we face situations we don’t understand.

Currently, I’ve had to apply these principles to myself as I am at a loss regarding my child’s unexplained health scares, my futile job searches, and most frustrating as a minister, when I don’t understand God’s word.

Gods revelation and invitation to Daniel is still available to us today as we face a world we no longer recognize as safe, as we lead people and processes oftentimes with very little direction ourselves, as we parent our children differently than our parents, as we lose loved ones to sickness, violence, and poverty.

The angel of God told Daniel “Put it out of your mind.” Don’t worry yourself with not understanding because God is the sealer and the revealer. He knows the plans He has for all people. Go on living and loving and trusting that God is in control. Anything that He hasn’t revealed to you just means it’s not time to know. He has an appointed time to bring us into the full knowledge of His plans. So continue to trust in God and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. HE knows and that’s enough.
