It is time to prepare for takeover in this season in our lives!
God is probably showing some of your promised land. If you’re like me, you might feel like Moses. Like you can look over and see all that he has promised you, but you see the vastness of the land, and you see that there are some Giants in the land, and you know that you need to help prepare someone to transition to take over the land and it can feel daunting. Self doubt can creep in. And it is so crucial that we do not shrink due to shame in this season!
This entire topic is about revealing pain points, disappointments, failures, hardships. Revealing them to God, to ourselves, and to people we can trust who will push us, and toil with us to get us to persist into our promised land.
Three things that we cover on this Friday:
1. God already knew/knows- God already knows so there is no way that we can deceive Him. We might as well confess it all. He knew and not only does he know he knew you before he formed. He has a very intimate understanding of who you are and he knew, and he knows, and he sent his son to die for you regardless. There is no need to TRY and deceive God.
2. You know- There is nothing worse than going through life lying to yourself. When I was a young girl my mom told me there’s a few people you just do not lie to- God, yourself, and your doctor. Basically the people who can help you! There’s no reason to lie or hide from yourself or from God. We only grow when we have a true knowledge, and we can do an inventory, a self assessment of who we are, where we are, and what we feel.
3. Reveal with discernment- We don’t reveal just to be revealing. Scripture tells us do not, do not, do not offer your pearls to pigs! You have to use discernment, which is a GIFT through the holy spirit to help us to know who and when to reveal our pains to. God commands cast your cares on Him not just because he cares for you, but because you cannot do this thing alone. Y’all God was intentional about building relationships. He said Adam shouldn’t be alone so He gave him an help mate, Eve. We need healthy relationships. If you look at relationships and friendships in the Bible: Ruth and Naomi, Caleb and Joshua, Jonathon and David, we need people to help us see God when we can’t feel Him. We need people to strengthen us as iron sharpens iron.
OK you’ll be blessed this Friday.
Great message today! Glad you’re back.
