Our Prepared Place

Let your hearts not be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Christ came to reconcile us to the Father through His death on the cross. But He didn't stop at the cross. He assures His disciples in John 14 that He wasn't just leaving them just to leave. He was going to prepare a place for us in His Father's house. How loving! Before His work was even done here on earth He was already looking past His own suffering on the cross to when He would reunite with all believers.

Many may be grieving a devasting loss of a loved one right now. As you face some of the hardest days of your life ahead, I encourage you to look past the right now and look to the place prepared for all who believe Jesus Christ is the son of God. This prepared place is where we will see our Saviour. This prepared place is where our loved ones will be in their mansion. Just the same way Christ was preparing His disciples for life after his death, your loved ones have prepared you, to the best of their abilities to live without them. You are prepared, You are a child of God. There's a place for us all in our Father's House. If it were not so, Christ would not have told us. Trust our prepared place is established.

This post today is in honor of a beautiful life lived, Ms. Annie Hood. May we all hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant."
