I’m blessed to have men in my life that have helped shape my world and day after day continue to ensure I am loved, protected, and provided for. So Happy Father’s Day and Juneteenth!!! What an amazing weekend to commentate and highlight the contributions of our Kings!
It’s kind of taboo in our religious societal community spaces for women to instruct or lead men. But we’ve been doing it for ages!!! Mothers are sons first teachers and we even have a saying “Behind every strong man is a good woman”. We know women shape the lives and leadership of men. We even have a hashtag to amplify the tender and essential mother/son relationship #boymom. Gods word also illustrates the importance of mentoring men to ensure they are wise in the ways of the Lord.
Proverbs 31 is oftentimes associated solely with the characteristics of a good woman. But the first several verses of Proverbs 31 denotes words of wisdom from a mother to her son, the King. We would be wise to instruct our sons the way this mom instructed her son. We would be wise to see our sons and husbands the way this mother saw her son, as the King, he was. We would be wise to share experiences with our sons and husbands and giving them the opportunity to learn from your and others mistakes in hopes of them avoiding pitfalls.
I encourage you to embrace your position and guide our kings with godly wisdom. I pray this video blesses you and helps you as you grow in your ministry and calling!
