Free Yourself Friday- Being a Passenger




Look, who doesn't like to sit on the passenger seat and take a good nap on a long road trip? I think we can all enjoy the beauty of being a passenger. Watching the trees float by, spotting all the colors of cars on the road, and being able to just daydream about the destination up ahead. That's all good when it's a road trip but not when it's the trip of your LIFE.

Today's FYF video is all about forcing ourselves to be an active participant in our own lives. We show up for everyone else- our kiddos, spouses, friends, coworkers, bosses, in laws, students and families, but rarely do we show up for US. Now we may roll out of bed, throw some clothes on, and make it to our jobs in the mornings. But we are not actively pursuing our purpose. Sunshine or Rain, Hell or High water I'm calling us out to move from the passenger seat and get behind the wheel.

We are the drivers of our destinies! We control the steering wheel, tires, brake, and gas of our car of life. Get up! Get excited about driving your new car! Break that baby in! I remember driving my newest car on the freeway for the 1st time. I punched that pedal. I mean I tried to see just how far and fast I could go. Let's commit to doing this very same thing with our lives. Break out of that bumper to bumper traffic. Take a detour, back road, country road and rev up that engine! DRIVE fearlessly! You are the driver of your career, marriage, friendships, businesses, dreams!
