It’s Friday! Welcome to a lighter weekend! I know we already talked about how to free ourselves from fear but fear has a tricky way of sneaking and creeping back into our minds.
Fear destroys our faith. David said “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death; I will fear no evil.” Why? “Because you are with me. Thy rod and thy staff comfort me.” The valley of death is merely a shadow. And what are shadows? The sun reflecting off some object. And what’s the object the sun is reflecting off of? YOU!!! We literally don’t have to be afraid of the shadow because the sun is only casting a shadow off of us!
How many of you are afraid of your own success? I know I was. Afraid to have been this successful by the age of 35. And then afraid that my success doesn’t reflect society’s standard of success- wealth and a fat bank account. We no longer have to be afraid to be a trailblazer.
Everybody isn’t going to do what we do, or say what we say, or talk how we talk. Don’t be afraid of how great you are in God. Why? I’m glad you asked! Because God is with you. His rod and staff comforts you. He is preparing you a table in the presence of your enemies. He has anointed you. You won’t go lacking. Actually your cup is going to RUN OVER! Good things and mercy for your mistakes will follow you ALL the days of your life! Don’t be afraid of walking with and for God! Your best is yet to come!
